LONDON: (Jul 16) Actors Paddy Considine, America Ferrera, Kit Harington and Alex Hassell will headline the cast of “Army of Shadows”, a new six-part drama series from BAFTA-winning writer Ronan Bennett.
The series, which is being currently filmed across Manchester, Liverpool, London and Paris, will air on British network Channel 4. It is co-produced by StudioCanal and Two Cities Television, according to a press release.
Inspired by Jean-Pierre Melville’s 1969 French classic “Army of Shadows” and Joseph Kessel’s novel of the same name, the series imagines an alternate reality in which Britain is under foreign occupation and follows the emergence of an underground resistance movement.
