WASHINGTON: (Jun 11) US lawmakers, business leaders and academicians have extended their greetings to Narendra Modi on becoming India’s longest continuously serving elected prime minister.
Some Congressmen even compared his tenure to that of US President Ronald Regan, known to have restored American optimism and faith in the presidency in the 1980s.
US President Donald Trump also described Modi as his “friend” and a “great” Prime Minister who “will have many years of greatness and success ahead of him”.
