NEW DELHI: (Aug 7) Heavy rain continued to lash the national capital on Friday morning, a day after widespread showers inundated several parts of the city, with the India Meteorological Department (IMD) issuing an ‘orange alert’ and forecasting more heavy rainfall through the day.
The minimum temperature settled at 25.6 degrees Celsius at Safdarjung, the city’s base station, 1.3 notches below normal.
Station-wise data showed that at Palam, the minimum temperature was 23.2 degrees Celsius, 3.6 notches below normal, while Lodhi Road recorded 25.2 degrees Celsius, 0.8 notch below normal. The Ridge station logged a minimum of 22.1 degrees Celsius, 4.1 notches below normal, and Ayanagar recorded 24.8 degrees Celsius, 1.6 notches below normal.
