25 lakh people take dip in Sangam ahead of Maha Kumbh

MAHAKUMBH NAGAR (UP): Devotees on Sunday take a holy dip at Triveni Sangam in Prayagraj ahead of MahaKumbh 2025. The city continues to receive devotees on massive numbers. Meanwhile, Uttar Pradesh Police has established a multi-layered security system around the Prayagraj district.

About 25 lakh people took a dip in the Sangam on Saturday, two days before the Maha Kumbh starts, officials said.

Despite the dense fog in the morning, devotees thronged the Mela area.

Maha Kumbh starts from January 13 and the next bathing festival is on Makar Sankranti falls on January 14.
